Mental Health Therapist

South Bay seeks Masters Level Mental Health Therapists to provide a continuum of community-based services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. As a therapist on one of our teams, you will gain experience doing individual, family, couples, and group therapy.  You will work with a diverse population with a variety of experiences including intensive family issues, trauma, forensics, substance abuse, behavior management, mental illness, abuse and neglect, dual diagnosis, hospital diversion, and school-based issues.

South Bay's Outpatient Programs are located in Attleboro, Brockton, Fall River, Lawrence, Lowell, New Bedford, Plymouth, South Yarmouth, Weymouth and Worcester.

Child and Family Therapist
South Bay's teams of Social Workers, Counselors, and Psychologists provide a continuum of community-based services to children, adults, and families. As a therapist on one of our teams, you will provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy. You will work with a diverse population facing multiple challenges including behavioral problems, school adjustment difficulties, depression, trauma, substance abuse and family conflict. Successful candidates will possess a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a related field.

Forensic Counselor
South Bay's Forensic Program provides mental health services for individuals involved in the justice system and their families. Forensic Counselors specialize in individual, family, and group treatment for criminal offenders and their family members, diversion programs, and community outreach. Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Forensic Psychology or a related field and demonstrated experience working with the forensic population.

Trauma Therapist
South Bay Mental Health Center's Trauma Team currently seeks Master's level therapists to work with children and families who have experienced physical, emotional or sexual trauma in their lives. This is an exciting opportunity to work and train as part of a team of clinicians with extensive experience and certification in a variety of areas including sexual abuse, domestic violence, sexual offending services, and trauma-specific substance abuse services. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a related field.

Substance Abuse Counselor
South Bay's Dual Diagnosis Team provides comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families touched by addiction. Our program treats clients who have a mental illness, developmental delay, or history of abuse, combined with a substance abuse addiction. A strong referral base from courts, hospitals, schools, shelters and other substance abuse treatment programs will give you the opportunity to utilize your training and education to treat individuals, groups and families from diverse populations. Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a related field and demonstrated experience working with the substance abuse population.

South Bay's Post Master's Licensure Program
Each year, South Bay offers a limited number of opportunities for recent Master's level graduates to participate in our Post Master's Licensure Program. This program offers the unique opportunity to work with a diverse clinical population while receiving the resources and support to become independently licensed in Massachusetts. Participants in the Program receive extensive mentoring, coaching, licensed supervision, and access to clinical trainings for the Continuing Education Units necessary for licensure.
